For more than 20 years, Phyllis has enjoyed working with Women, their partners and families through the Toronto Health Department. Recurring issues have included Postpartum Depression, grief recovery, depression, isolation/loneliness, self-esteem issues, and violence in relationships.
Upon completing Graduate studies in Counselling and two related years of Internship at the Crossroads/Bayridge Family Center, Phyllis joined their team as a Therapist. This provided much opportunity to work with clients from both the church and the community settings. Phyllis completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Couple and Family Studies at the University of Guelph. She is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist with the American and Ontario Associations of Marriage and Family Therapy. She is currently pursuing PhD studies in Professional Counselling in at Liberty University in the U.S.
For the past 7 years, Phyllis has also had the privilege of working with individuals in the Orangeville/Headwaters region. Phyllis’ area of focus is Women’s Issues, Couples, and the Family. Related issues include Post Partum depression, mood disorders, loneliness, self esteem, communication, conflict resolution, affairs, grief, and violence in relationships. Her approach is informed by a strong commitment to the integration of Psychology and Spirituality.

Heidi has been working for a number of years with children, women and families using art, play and talk therapy. She has a Master of Divinity with a focus on individual, marriage and family counseling. She has a two year post graduate diploma (masters level) in art therapy from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute (TATI) and is a graduate of the Canadian Association of Child and Play Therapy (CACPT) program. Heidi also has additional training in trauma, bereavement counselling, and attachment.
Heidi is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP) and (CACPT). She is the Children’s Coordinator at the Coping Center in Cambridge where she facilitates grief groups for children. Heidi works with children facing a variety of issues including, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, separation and divorce, anger, and low self esteem. Heidi finds working with children and families rewarding and has always enjoyed working with children. She also works with women struggling with relationship issues, boundaries and self esteem, grief, loss, depression & anxiety.
For those who are interested, Heidi integrates a Christian faith perspective into sessions. Heidi is married and has two children of her own.

 FERNANDO SARRAFO

Fernando M. Sarrafo is a Certified Pastoral Counselor, and holds an M.A. in Christian Counselling.
He has been working with the P.A.O.C. for over 10 years. He has functioned as Teacher, Associate Pastor, and Counsellor.
He also holds substantial experience and educational certifications in areas of brain imaging and cerebral synchronization/neuroplasticity. He has worked with all types of individuals from all sorts of ethnic and social backgrounds.
While Fernando’s area of focus is in Men’s issues, he also works with Couples. He works with mood disorders, trust issues, marital problems, addictions, ADD, dependency disorders, and low self esteem.
He has been married to Teresa, for 26 years. They have 3 boys from the ages of 13 to 23.
